Prior to TSL Education I was the Head of Social Media for the UK Ogilvy Group agencies, leading and co-ordinating the Group’s existing social media specialists, responsible for developing and helping to deliver further social media growth opportunities for the agencies and their clients.
Prior to joining Ogilvy I was responsible for the Sky’s online (which has over 1 billion monthly page impressions) social media strategy, development and marketing for each Sky site. Within a year of his appointment at Sky, I oversaw a 200% increase in engagement on Sky Portal sites. In addition, I also launched the new Times’ online commenting system and was social media advisor to a number of News Corp units, including News International, Star TV, Sky Italy and Fox TV Channels. I also advised Chelsea FC and British Forces Broadcasting Services.
I co-founded one of the first social media consultancies (rareface.com) in the UK and co-founded InfieldParking.com, a social networking site for NASCAR racing fans in commercial partnership with its most popular driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr in the US.
Prior to Rareface and Infieldparking, I was in charge of setting up the social networking department at iConcertina, an interactive media agency and founded 2Bmates.com a music social networking site in 2004.
In my spare time I’m a mentor at Seedcamp & University College London Advances, the SMILE, adviser to start ups and charities in Social Media: Cancer Research UK, BullyingUK, OneKind and Cofacio.
